To provide funds to support programming for the downtown Hamilton location. Recent programming included hosting a book club called Speaks Volumes, Egghead Café talks on topics ranging from history and physics to maps and Mongolia, the HamSlam evenings of impromptu audience participation entertainment, a film series showing the Best of Sundance, and even a philosophy discussion group call Dr. Phil-osophy. The Downtown Center also hosts many art exhibits and lecture series. |

This grant provided funds to support the needs of the Hamilton Group Workcamps Project.
For a week in July 2010, up to 400 junior and senior high school “Group Workcamps” students
from all parts of the United States will be coming to Hamilton to repair homes of up to 80 low-income,
disabled, and/or elderly residents. |

To support the Activate Butler County program, this is the YMCA’s response to our nations
growing health crisis. Activate Butler County is a free year-round healthy living awareness program that
targets youth and adult obesity and related diseases through exercise and healthy living information.
Participants receive ongoing support and education through “Health Talks” by wellness and medical
experts as well as access to a website that will track progress. |

| Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park & Museum |

This grant provided funds to assist with the costs of operating Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park and Museum. This beautiful park in Hamilton is a 265 acre sculpture park and outdoor museum combining the lure of nature with the dynamic presence of monumental art. It is a setting where landscape and art come together in natural galleries among vast meadows and woodlands. |

People Working Cooperatively, Inc. (PWC) |

PWC’s “Whole House” solution to home repair allows the organization to supply more than 11,600 services annually to homeowners unable to adequately care for their homes. PWC’s services are critical, not cosmetic, focusing on very basic living essentials that keep a home safe and habitable – like heat, running water, working toilets and solid roofing. When possible, PWC helps homeowners become more self-sufficient in the care of their home. This grant is to provide emergency home repairs for low-income homeowners in Hamilton. |

Butler County Challenger Baseball |

This grant will support the construction of an additional handicapped accessible baseball field at Crawford Woods Park. The League offers handicapped youth from the ages of 5 to 21 the dream of playing baseball and be on a team with other players. Because of the success, the league has grown to 10 teams and approximately 160 players. In 2009, a second league for players 21 years or older began with 2 teams with 22 players and in 2010 this has grown to 4 teams with 50 players. |
