Youth Philanthropy Committee Accepting Grant Applications

The Youth Philanthropy Committee is currently accepting grant applications from area nonprofit organizations serving the communities of Hamilton, Ross, and New Miami.  Each year, the group, comprised of 23 high school students from Badin, Hamilton, New Miami, and Ross high schools, awards more than $35,000 to organizations serving the needs of young people in our area.  Grants range from $500 to $5,000.   Application are due to the Hamilton Community Foundation by March 9, 2012.  The funding priorities include innovative projects that are youth-focused and responsive to their needs, demonstrate collaboration with other organizations and are not a duplication of existing services.  The Youth Philanthropy Committee gives higher priority to programs/projects that fill a gap in serving underprivileged youth.  Also, preference is given to projects enriching the lives of students outside of the classroom.  To learn more about the grant process and projects supported, click on Receiving Grants and Scholarships link and proceed to the Youth Philanthropy Committee link on our website.
