The Youth Philanthropy Committee, (YPC) the youth grant making arm of the Hamilton Community Foundation, announces it is currently accepting grant applications from area nonprofit organizations serving the communities of Hamilton, Ross and New Miami. Each year the group of high school students from Badin, Hamilton, New Miami and Ross high schools, awards more than $35,000 annually to area organizations serving the youth. Grants range from $500 – $5,000 and applications are due to the Hamilton Community Foundation by March 8, 2013.
YPC’s funding priorities include innovative projects that are youth-focused and responsive to the needs of our youth; demonstrate collaboration with other organizations and are not a duplication of existing services. YPC gives higher priority to programs/projects that fill a gap in serving underprivileged youth. Also, preference is given to projects enriching the lives of students outside of the classroom. YPC requires that organizations submit a completed Grant Outcome Evaluation Report for a grant previously awarded before a new grant application will be considered.
